The Cheeky stools are the perfect example of humour blended with functionality, showing how a 100% usable piece of furniture can also have a fun personality—or a cheeky personality, in this case. The designer, Maryam Moghadam, was looking to underscore how important humour is for our well-being and connectivity, having incorporated quite playful elements in his design to foster inclusive and fun spaces. What’s more, the collection is represented in various “skin colours“, which enhances the message of inclusivity and unity, as well as the laugh one can get out of these stools.
The Cheeky stools come with a removable, upholstered cushion and a powder-coated aluminium frame, which enables repairs or colour changes as needed. When used without the cushion, the stools are multi-functional and suitable for outdoor environments, adding to their versatility.
Beyond being a comfortable seating option, Cheeky is a universal funny ice-breaker and is sure to always get two questions: “Where did you get it from?” and “Can I sit on it, please?”. It evokes a range of emotional responses, which are crucial for fostering meaningful and memorable interactions. By combining comfort, humour, and social awareness, Cheeky aims to enhance people’s experiences on multiple levels.
