Entourage is a yacht created to form a serene, luxurious sanctuary on water, with an interior that creates the illusion of sky and sea merging. Designed by Studio BURDIFILEK, the yacht is a retreat of the modern world’s buzz and diving into the realm of infinite water. Constructed by shipbuilder Damen Yachting with an exterior design by Espen Oeino, the vessel has a light spirit harmonizing with the watery surroundings.
BURDIFILEK is usually found styling high-end fashion boutiques, champagne bars, and minimalist homes. The Entourage is the first-ever yacht project that the company undertakes, making its sophistication even more impressive.
This 63m yacht offers a place that whispers tranquillity, focusing on the balance between design and comfort. The dazzling lights and the intricate finishes only make one feel more welcome onboard and allow an even more immersive experience.
The project is so unique because the design team focused on reducing noise and perfecting the design by concentrating on the design details and materiality. The concept was developed around a customized envelope with a global vision, tranquillity, elegance, and relaxation while taking the owner’s art collection into account. Another thing that was a top priority for the Entourage design was ergonomics and seaworthiness.
The designers wanted the exterior surroundings to start a visual dialogue. To not compete with the reflectivity of the water, a dry and matte finish colour palette, soft textures, and natural materiality were selected. One common denominator is European white oak for the walls and flooring and grey-taupe leather for the wall panelling of the passageways and guest bedrooms. Simplicity reigns as all functional components remain concealed.
Entourage showcases an interior colour palette of creams, greys, and off-whites, with the key design feature in the main saloon being a plush curved sofa and crushed velvet armchairs. The curvature continues in the form of sculptural standing lamps which help to add ambience and interest to the space perfectly.
The initial understated impression gradually comes to life as one traverses the spaces, imparting a fresh realm of luxury, where the act of repose takes precedence.
Studio BURDIFILEK has won multiple awards for their diverse projects including Grands Prix du Design 2022, Best of Year Awards 2023, and ICFF Interiors Awards 2022. Entourage doesn’t stay behind and has won the LIV Hospitality Design Award in the Cruise Ship & Yacht Design category as well as the BOAT International Design & Innovation Awards 2024.
