D5 MAG covers architecture, interior design, furniture, lighting, industrial design, design events and creative ideas shaping the way we live and work. We are interested in projects with a strong design story, original ideas and high-quality visual material.
What can you submit?
We accept submissions for:
- Architecture and interior design projects
- Furniture and lighting design
- Industrial and product design
- New collections and products
- Design stories
- Press releases and announcements
- Design events, exhibitions and installations
What makes a good submission?
We look for projects that are original, relevant and visually strong, with something interesting to say about design. This could be an innovative approach, an unusual material or process, a strong concept, a meaningful location, a new product or simply a project with a compelling story.
We particularly value fresh and recently completed projects, as well as new products and collections.
We receive many submissions, so we cannot guarantee publication or respond personally to every submission. Every project is reviewed by our editorial team and selected based on its relevance, quality, originality and fit with D5 MAG.
What to send
Please provide:
- Project information
A clear description of the project, including its concept, location, completion date and any relevant details about the design process, materials or inspiration. - Images
Please include a selection of high-quality, publication-ready images. The more useful images you can provide, the better we can understand and present your project. Please include a mix of overall views, details and any other images that help tell the story. - Plans and drawings
For architecture and interior projects, plans, sections, elevations or other relevant drawings are always welcome. - Project credits
Please provide complete credits for the architect, designer, studio, client, photographer, manufacturers and any other relevant contributors. - Links
Include your website and any relevant project, product or social media links.
Please make sure you have permission to provide all images and other materials included in your submission, and clearly state the photographer or copyright holder for each image where applicable.
Exclusive submissions
We welcome exclusive submissions and, where possible, prefer to feature projects that are being presented to D5 MAG for the first time.
If your project is exclusive to D5 MAG, please mention this clearly in your submission.
Projects that have already been published elsewhere can still be considered, particularly if they are relevant to our audience or have a new story, development or angle to share.
Image requirements
Good photography is an important part of every D5 MAG story. Please send the highest-resolution images available and avoid heavily compressed images, watermarked images or images with text and graphics added over them.
If your images are too large to attach directly, you can provide a download link to a file-sharing service. We recommend including a few preview images in your email so our editors can quickly see the project.
What happens after you submit?
Our editorial team reviews every submission and selects projects based on editorial relevance, quality, originality and timing.
If we are interested in featuring your project, we will contact you for any additional information or materials we may need. Also, when the article is published we will send you the link to the article.
Please note that submitting a project does not guarantee publication, and due to the volume of submissions, we may not be able to respond to every email.
Before you submit
A few things will help us review your project quickly:
Tell us what is new. Let us know when the project was completed, when a product was launched or what makes the story timely.
Give us the story. A simple list of features is less useful than explaining the idea behind the design and what makes the project worth talking about.
Send your best images. Strong photography makes it much easier for us to understand and evaluate a project.
Include full credits. Make sure everyone involved in the project and photography can be properly credited.
Check your materials. Please proofread your text and make sure all submitted images and information are accurate.
