The countdown is on for the 12th edition of Zagreb Design Week, Croatia’s largest and most influential design festival, set to take place from 9 to 21 September 2025. This year marks a notable evolution for the event, introducing an expanded two-week format and a renewed focus on design’s role in navigating today’s complex world.
The festival’s first week will be held at Jadran Film Studios, where the main program, including exhibitions, talks, installations, and panels, will take center stage. In the second week, the design will move into the heart of Zagreb, with events hosted across selected partner locations throughout the city center, creating a more immersive and urban experience for visitors and participants alike.
Under the theme “Shared Realities”, the 2025 edition invites designers, architects, and creatives to examine the overlapping dimensions of our contemporary lives, from digital identities and shifting social norms to environmental crises and emerging technologies. The program will question how design can both reflect and reshape the world around us.
Applications to participate are now officially open, with a deadline of 16 June 2025. Creatives from across disciplines are encouraged to submit proposals for:
- The ZGDW AWARD, awarded in six categories
- Spatial installations and conceptual interventions
- Fashion presentations
- Food design exhibitions and experiences
This edition promises to be a dynamic showcase of innovation, dialogue, and experimentation, an invitation to witness and shape the shared realities of tomorrow.
