In Shanghai, a unique gallery was set in a chic, old villa, showcasing art exhibitions and original product designs. Dubbed as an “urban living lab”, the Precious Home Living Lab was created by Gary Zeng, from GID International Design, to provide an artistic accommodation experience where visitors can feel the vibe and lifestyles the designs can offer.

The art villa

This comprehensive experience was achieved through the redesign of the villa in an artistic way that not only shares the best in design and art but also offers lifestyle experiences such as exquisite drinks and trendy vibes The old school villa was completely redesigned to house the designer’s vision, scattering it around a 40-square-metre hanging garden, a 200-square-metre first floor, plus a second and third floor all filled to the brim with art.

The first floor was originally the villa’s living room and is now the art gallery of the Precious Home Living Lab, making a connection between the past, present, and future. Art aficionados, art curators, and admirers of old-school architecture can converge in this space and merge their visions, continuously helping the industry grow.

The second and third floors are nothing short of a sensorial experience. The collection was distributed throughout the space with the utmost respect to the original structure of the villa, each of the designs specifically curated to create a deep experience for the visitors.

In the end, one of the objectives of the gallery is to show visitors how different each brand is from one another. Each brand uniquely has its vibes and lifestyles, which is why the Precious Home Living Lab believes it is important to know which one can help you achieve your perfect intimate space.

“This time we think about the nature and commercial purpose of design from the perspective of both designer and investor. Considering the original structure of the space, instead of a fixed style we intend to create the space atmosphere and lifestyle through original designed products. At present the market is popular with high-grade gray, yet we want to inspire people and stimulate everyone’s inner happiness with colors.”
