Inspired by the tension between the familiar and unexpected, A-N-D uses light to define, transform and revive spaces. The brand’s latest collections, Pebble by Lukas Peet and Pace collection by Caine Heintzman, explore the poetic and structural presence of light.

The Poetic designs of A-N-D
A-N-D is a decorative lighting studio that designs and manufactures original in-house collections. Named after an acronym for “A New Detail”, the brand explores new design possibilities, innovative production processes and advanced lighting technologies.

Pebble collection
As the name implies, the Pebble collection is inspired by the primordial allure of natural stones. The collection elevates the uncomplicated but sculptural character of a pebble through the translucency of glass. Made of two blown-glass forms engaged in a quiet dialogue, the pendant’s silhouette appears to change depending on the viewing angle. Uniquely crafted, the Pebble lamps are made of one large and one small glass element.

Both elements are available in three finishes, allowing users to mix and match and create a composition that fits their sensibility and personal style. The two glass objects are connected through a precisely machined aluminium LED housing and heat sink that creates a balance between the two bodies. This balance remains interrupted even with the accompanying electric components and suspension system. Both sides of the lighting fixture are evenly illuminated while the interplay between large and small forms creates a consistent harmonious light output.

Pace luminaire
Drawing on the ideas of tempo, rhythm, and repetition, the Pace luminaire is a refined exploration of sinuous design. Light and material interact to create subtle gradients and reflections as light goes through successive layers of glass. Delicate and light, the luminaire comes in several options: as a ceiling and wall lamp, as a floor and table lamp or as a modular pendant.

Pace pendant, floor and table lamp
Measuring 28 x 121 cm, the Pace floor lamp comes with a touch dimmer and 300k of brightness, a feature also found in the small Pace table lamp, which comes in a 28 × 32 cm size. Pace pendant is a modular lighting system composed of one or several lamps, the first of which measures 28 cm in diameter and 11cm in depth, while subsequent lamps have a smaller depth of 6 cm. The modular pendant system can hang up to 244 cm from the ceiling.

Pace wall and ceiling-mounted system
Finally, the fourth mounted version of Pace can be integrated into walls or ceilings either through a driver remote or a standard junction box. Its round shape and 28 cm x 11 cm dimensions come with three dimming options: phase dimming, O-10V analogue brightness control, and the digital lighting interface DALI. All lamps come with 24V DC LED and a Colour Rendering Index (CRI) of 90+, bringing excellent rendering of colours that appear true to life.

All four Pace lamps come in Float, Umber and Translucent finishes, with custom finishes available on request. Made of glass and aluminium, the Pace lamps are generous in form and stackable in design.

Both Pace and Pebble lamps feature refined, poetic design made through exploration of form, material and precise craftsmanship. The stackable Pace lamps and pendants and round, organic Pebble luminaires engage in a meaningful dialogue with their surrounding architecture.
