At ¡Viva!, chef Ray Garcia sets new standards for Mexican cuisine and celebrates its rich culinary tradition through food, drinks, and design. Here, everyone will find something to experience—whether some tequila shots, flavorful tacos and enchiladas, or vibrant design elements.
The centerpiece of the design is the mural on the promenade patio full of vibrant colors and flowers, complemented by the actual flowers hanging on top of the patio’s wooden ceiling. The seating area in white and blue hues accentuates the wooden details throughout the restaurant. While ropes hanging on the walls create the look of a ship-style interior.
The bar area, with the wood-and-rattan design elements on the ceiling,—inspired by the blue agave plant—and with the display of tequila and mezcal bottles that serve as the backdrop to the area, creates a perfect atmosphere for a night out with friends and any other celebration.
Besides the indoor patio and open bar area, guests can choose to dine at the main dining area which consists of round tables with blue seating and dining tables around the long purple seating throughout the wall. For those who would like some privacy, there is also a separate dining room named Tequila—ideal for private events. It comes with its own private outdoor patio, as well. Finally, a 1,000-square-foot Habanero outdoor patio is open for all visitors and offers a view of Las Vegas and all that the city has to offer.
Chef Garcia was able to bring forward his vision and create a restaurant that not only honors Mexican cuisine with its rich flavors and variety of ingredients but also offers its guests a unique and authentic experience with a bold interior.
¡Viva! is a LIV Hospitality Design Awards prize winner in Interior Design North America, brought to life by Celano Design Studio Co. under the leadership of lead designer Vincent Celano and supported by designers Stephanie Niebler and Michelle Schneiter. The architectural vision was crafted by Marnell Architecture, with interior design by Medline Chang. The hospitality experience is anchored by Resorts World Las Vegas, with the construction executed by W. A. Richardson Builders, LLC. Located in Las Vegas, NV, this project was completed on July 3, 2021, under the development of Resorts World Las Vegas.
