adidas Football has just released the new F50 Salah, a boot especially created to celebrate and immortalise one of football‘s most loved modern players. The F50 Elite FG is sure to fuel conversations during the African Cup of Nations, bringing attention to Mohamed Salah as he continues to pave its path on the great sport’s world stage.
Translating an ancient language into shoes
The design of the boot is inspired by Salah’s own heritage and the rich history of ancient Egypt. The symbolism and forms of hieroglyphs cover the shoe, showcased as intricate sand-toned details gently carved into a clean white base. Bold yet minimal, the design also reflects the explosive speed, unpredictability, and attacking chaos that define Salah’s game.
The colours and detailings
The F50 Salah was given a crisp white upper adorned with cream drawings and details, making it hard not to think about the desert dunes of Salah’s heritage when looking at the boots. Three golden stripes were added to one of the sides, complemented by a gold F50 logo beneath. On the forefoot, adidas added a white F50 logo. A white tongue with gold elements completes the upper and the boot, another detail inspired by the gold-covered artefacts of Ancient Egypt.
