MJG Headquarters Designed by mode:lina: An Office that Connects

New offices at Wujka 9 street in Poznan will host several MJG Group’s companies, such as Index Food and Vininova. This is the first shared office in the firm’s history and is meant to be more than a workplace, but a place of collaboration and a hub that will strengthen bonds and improve inspiration. MJG Group’s founders, the Gruszka family, have always maintained a strong devotion to Italian culture, aesthetics, and philosophy, which is why the design emanates this love for Italy. Poznan-based design studio mode:lina was hired to develop the design that powerfully reflects the MJG Group’s core values.

Olive green dominate the space

Italian-inspired colour scheme

The design concept features olive shades covering the walls and ceiling, and tailor-made furniture. Red accents were chosen to disrupt these muted tones and add character to the space. Dark wood, natural stone, and carefully selected joinery and lighting complete the design, creating a warm atmosphere. High-quality design and enduring beauty match both Italian aesthetics and the family’s cultural values.

“When looking for inspiration, we wanted to capture what we value most in Italian culture – harmony, openness, and attention to quality. Rather than literal quotations, we focused on subtle references: a warm colour palette, natural materials, and the use of arches throughout the space as a contemporary interpretation of classical Italian architecture,”

says Katarzyna Majewska-Kremska, the project’s lead designer.

Light, sound, and curated art objects

Drawing from the client’s love of art and personal collection, the design incorporates refined artistic and decorative details. Special attention was given to materials as the designers believe they could impact the performance and productivity. Top-notch materials such as wood and bespoke furniture made by prominent Italian firms ooze luxury. Natural light and meticulously crafted acoustics improve comfort and the well-being of those who spend 8 hours a day surrounded by it. To satisfy all business needs and improve productivity and creativity, the offices are divided into zones spanning from shared collaborative areas and partly open meeting rooms to single working zones that provide privacy for employees. The design reconciles collaborative needs and individual comfort, and is flexible and open to future changes. Following their motto of “designing spaces for people to enjoy working“, mode:lina created a space for collaboration, co-creation, and co-experience.
