The LIV Hospitality Design Awards are entering their final submission phase, with the 2025 edition set to close on January 25, 2026. As the hospitality industry continues to evolve through new ways of living, dining, and gathering, the awards spotlight projects that define contemporary hospitality architecture, interior design, and guest experiences on a global scale.

Launched in 2020, the LIV Hospitality Design Awards are an inclusive platform dedicated to hospitality-focused environments. From hotels and resorts to restaurants, cafés, co-living spaces, and experiential destinations, the program recognises projects that respond to changing lifestyles, cultural contexts, and expectations around comfort, sustainability, and experience.

A Track Record of Global Hospitality Leaders

Previous editions of the LIV Hospitality Design Awards have recognised some of the most influential names shaping hospitality today, underscoring the program’s international relevance and design authority.

Among recent top winners, Architectural Design of the Year was awarded to Canopy: A Treetop Dining Experience by Rock Venture Co, a project celebrated for its immersive relationship with nature. In interiors, standout winners include Uma Nota by The Odd Duck Design, a globally recognised hospitality concept blending cultural narrative with bold spatial identity, and Nanjing Back To Yaxi Manor Resort by YuQiang & Partners, praised for its sensitive integration of landscape, heritage, and contemporary luxury.

On the architectural side of hospitality living spaces, winning projects have included landmark destinations such as Anantara Santorini Abu Dhabi Retreat by E11 Design, Gundari Resort by Block722, and the Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island by Eco-ID Architects, reflecting LIV’s strong presence across luxury resorts, eco-conscious destinations, and experiential retreats.

The awards have also spotlighted internationally renowned hospitality brands and studios, with recognised projects connected to names such as Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, and Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, alongside acclaimed architecture and interior studios including WATG, Meyer Davis, Foster + Partners, and Herzog-level regional leaders across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas.

Rather than focusing on a single design approach, LIV Awards celebrate diversity in scale, geography, and concept. Past editions have highlighted everything from intimate boutique hotels and adaptive reuse projects to large-scale hospitality developments and innovative dining concepts, reflecting how hospitality design continues to expand beyond traditional typologies.

As the final deadline approaches, the awards mark a key moment for architects, interior designers, studios, and developers to place their work within an international conversation on hospitality design. Submissions are reviewed by an international jury of industry professionals, ensuring that projects are evaluated in a global, cross-disciplinary context.

This year’s jury includes leaders from globally recognised hospitality groups such as Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Marriott International, Hilton Worldwide, Accor, Minor Hotels, and Pellicano Hotels, alongside design leadership from internationally respected studios including WATG, DLCA Architects, and Conran and Partners.

Among the jury members are senior figures overseeing global design and development strategies, such as Larry Traxler, Senior Vice President and Global Head of Design at Hilton Worldwide; Francisco Lopez-Cordoba, Vice President Creative at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts; and Bittor Sanchez Monasterio, Global Vice President Design for Accor’s Economy and Midscale brands.

The jury also reflects the future-facing side of hospitality, with members leading large-scale destination developments and emerging hospitality models, including representatives from NEOM, Diriyah Company, King Salman International Airport Development Company, and Asia Pacific Design Center (APDC). Academic voices and independent consultants further enrich the evaluation process, ensuring projects are reviewed through multiple lenses, from operational performance and guest experience to cultural relevance and long-term value.

Covering Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas, the LIV Awards jury brings together perspectives from across the global hospitality landscape. This diversity ensures that winning projects are not only visually compelling but also meaningful, well-executed, and relevant to the evolving realities of how people live, travel, and gather today.

With just days remaining until entries close, the LIV Hospitality Design Awards 2025 serve as a timely checkpoint for the industry, capturing the ideas, spaces, and experiences that are shaping how we live, stay, and connect today.
