The LIT Lighting Design Awards are excited to introduce this year’s stellar jury panel, featuring renowned leaders in lighting design, architecture, and creative technology. This global team of experts will evaluate and honor the most innovative lighting projects from around the world in 2024.
This year’s jurors include Claudia Paz, Founder and Design Director of Claudia Paz Lighting Studio; Andrea Siniscalco, Assistant Professor at Politecnico di Milano; Sooner Routhier, CEO of The Playground; Orlando Marques, Founder and Director of OMstudio Lighting; Sophya Acosta, Founder and Lighting Designer at her studio; LeRoy Bennett, Owner and Partner of Seven Design Works and Dakana Design; Roland Greil, Lighting Designer & Director of Roland Greil & 360 Degree Collective; Bahare Yaghar Knowles, Co-Founder and Creative Director at Collective 66; Thiago Gaya, Publisher of L+D Magazine and Founder of the LEDforum; John (Randy) Reid, Editor of designing lighting (dl); Esther Torelló, Publisher and Editor of Lightecture; Amit Gupta, Founder & Editor-in-Chief of STIR; and Sally Storey, Creative Director at John Cullen Lighting and Founding Director at Lighting Design International, and more.
This panel is further strengthened by two new jurors joining this year: Tupac Martir, Founder and Artist at Satore Studio, an award-winning digital artist and pioneer in lighting and virtual production, and Florence Lam, Arup Fellow and Visiting Professor at The Bartlett UCL, an internationally celebrated lighting designer. The program will close on October 20th, 2024, with a 10% late fee applying to all submissions made until that date. Participants will compete for a title in one of the three main categories: Lighting Product Design, Entertainment Lighting Design, and Architectural Lighting Design.
