Salone del Mobile. Milano 2026 had the honour of hosting the first presentation of NII’s furniture outside of their native country, Japan. NII is a subbrand of ITOKI CORPORATION, which has been designing furniture and workspaces for over 130 years. Studio NII showcased the works of four designers: Todd Bracher, Michele De Lucchi from AMDL CIRCLE, Rodolfo Agrella, and Jun Aizaki from CRÈME.

NII at Milan Design Week
The exhibition included new designs alongside those previously displayed in Japan, including an early preview of the upcoming series by Industrial Facility. NII uses the concept of “Ingenious Design” to create furniture that boasts communication, collaboration, and innovation in office environments. Led by the creative director Hirotaka Tako, the company follows the principle AI × Design Based on PEOPLE, translating human interaction with public spaces into design.

PIGNA by Michele De Lucchi
Composed of a divider and a sofa, PIGNA reimagines the wooden shingle as a recognisable element of AMDL CIRCLE design. The shingle-like panels seclude the seating area, without interrupting light and airflow. Three configurations offer different levels of privacy: Low, which allows users to see the surrounding environment, Middle, which strengthens a sense of privacy, and High, offered exclusively as a divider. The seating is somewhat wider than standard, for additional comfort.

BITMAP by Todd Bracher
The flexible modular design of BITMAP allows numerous combinations that encourage communication and socialisation. The seating consists of two rectangular volumes, one larger and the other smaller, that can be used as an armrest, a side table, or an additional seat. Although it may appear as if it’s levitating, the smaller block is fused with the sitting block around the edges. The BITMAP by Todd Bracher comes in numerous shades, allowing users to create both colourful and neutral compositions.

CONNEXA by Rodolfo Agrella
Glass tables designed by Rodolfo Agrella turn office furniture into a conversation infrastructure. The biofilic form evokes both nature and the human skeleton, composed of endless lines of Connexa tables. Dedicated connectors are used to form almost unlimited combinations of four different glass tops and five frame types. The subtle presence of CONNEXA invites conversation and dialogue.

PARLAMENTO by Jun Aizaki
Another modular design comes from CRÈME. Designed by architect Jun Aizaki, PARLAMENTO is inspired by the comfort of 1970s lounge seating, which is why it offers comfort rarely seen in modular pieces. The collection consists of 4 units of sofas and tables in different heights. By merging the sensibilities of hospitality and workplace volumes, PARLAMENTO adapts to the fluidity of modern workspaces. The flexible configuration is adjusted to meet rooms, receptions, and other shared spaces.

Furniture collections by NII encourage engagement and dialogue among users, while simultaneously offering premium comfort and numerous options for customisation and configuration.
