COLLECTIBLE will return to the historic Vanderborght Building located in Brussels, Belgium for its seventh edition from 7 to 10 March 2024. The international fair is dedicated to 21st-century collectible design and is the only international platform that brings together the best in high-end contemporary design.
The fair showcases established and emerging galleries, design studios, and independent editors in a dynamic integrated space while collaborating with leading curators, design institutions, and foundations. COLLECTIBLE seeks to reinterpret the design fair model by offering visitors the chance to immerse themselves in an open and integrated space where galleries, design studios, and institutions come together.
Since its inception in 2017, the fair has aimed to present high-quality and well-researched projects reflecting the latest currents, thus focusing on limited editions and forward-thinking pieces.
This year, the fair’s participants are selected by a committee spanning the global design and creative sectors, including Aric Chen, General & Artistic Director of the Nieuwe Instituut (The Netherlands); Isis-Colombe Combréas, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Milk Décoration (France); Pierre Jorge Gonzalez and Judith Haase, Architects and Founders of Gonzalez Haase AAS (Germany).
At the core of COLLECTIBLE, the MAIN and BESPOKE sections welcome participation respectively from international galleries and independent design studios to showcase established and emerging contemporary designs. The NEW GARDE section features new galleries, project spaces, and collectives by offering additional visibility for them to establish themselves internationally. ARCHITECT <=> DESIGNER offers a dedicated platform for architects and interior designers to showcase a recently developed project in furniture design. DIALOGUE invites galleries to exhibit works from the 80s and 90s in conversation with contemporary pieces. The CURATED section serves as a space for experimentation and discovery in design. Here, participants – emerging and mid-career independent designers and design studios – are invited to explore ideas and processes in design. For this 7th edition, the CURATED section will be chaired and curated by Lebanese, Rotterdam-based curator and educator, Rawad Baaklini, among fellow jury members Adrien de Furia, Collector (France), Anaïs Carion, Managing Director & CEO of MAD Home of Creators (Belgium), and Anthony Authié, Architect & Founder of Zyva Studio (France).
COLLECTIBLE will also have a permanent space that coincides with its 7th edition. Located in the heart of Brussels’ art district, this destination will offer advice and host exhibitions and private dinners, reflecting the fair’s longstanding commitment to innovation and excellence.
