NeoCon 2025 marks the 56th edition of the design fair, hosted across multiple levels of THE MART in Chicago, and this year’s edition includes a significant number of new leases, showroom expansions, and first-time exhibitors, reflecting a continued reshaping of the commercial interiors landscape. The focus is still on presenting a wide cross-section of design manufacturers—from long-established names to newer international innovators—emphasizing how brands occupy and use physical space within the building.

Showroom expansions

Several manufacturers, such as Davis Furniture, Wolf-Gordon, Green Hides, and acoustics manufacturer Turf, have expanded their showroom footprints to support larger product lines and immersive installations. These expansions have been carried out through renovation and new construction, with several brands reconfiguring their space to introduce meeting areas, materials libraries, and flexible product display systems. In most cases, the spatial layouts emphasise openness and circulation, with distinct zones for product categories and seating areas to accommodate client visits.

New showrooms

New tenants joining the permanent showroom club include HÅG, Baresque, West Elm Work, Viccarbe, Arktura, and Smith System. Their showrooms vary in size and format but all reflect long-term investments in the North American market. For some, such as Baresque, the move marks a shift from temporary booth exhibitions to dedicated, year-round space.

The interior design of these showrooms is tailored to each brand’s focus: product presentation, material engagement, or live demonstrations. Most new spaces are located on the 10th and 11th floors, expanding THE MART’s activity beyond the main commercial floors.

7th floor exhibit hall

The 7th-floor exhibition area will normally serve as a platform for a broader mix of global and emerging brands. This year’s lineup includes European furniture and lighting manufacturers such as Ferroluce, PLYCOLLECTION, and Visplay; material and technology companies like Formica, Slalom, AHF Products, Behr Paint, Configura, and Cyncly; and international sourcing brands such as Kano Global, Modernsolid Industrial, and Merryfair.

Additional exhibitors include contract furniture producers and fabric specialists, including Offices to Go, Ultrafabrics, Mantra Inspired Furniture, Virco, Cane-line, Emu, Nardi, and FEEK. The floor layout includes amenity zones and space for temporary activations, designed with the same emphasis on circulation and ease of navigation for visitors in the rest of the event’s zones.
