Harbour, the Australian luxury outdoor furniture brand, has introduced Sydney, its first limited-edition anniversary collection. The collection is named after the city where the brand began in 1976, when Jim Condos founded it as a family workshop built around metalwork and furniture making. Sydney continues that focus on material quality, craft and outdoor furniture with a more defined presence.

“For 50 years, Harbour has crafted within this rhythm [how light dances across the Sydney Harbour], shaping pieces that respond to light, endure by the ocean and belong effortlessly to their environment. Our new Sydney Collection honours and reflects this connection.”
Nicholas Condos, Chief Creative Officer and Co-founder of Harbour

A new teak finish
Sydney introduces a new High Gloss Teak Finish, with a mirror-like surface, deeper tone and richer colour. It is made through an eight-step, multi-layer process, with each coat hand-sanded before the next is applied. The finish keeps the natural grain of the teak visible while creating a smooth surface closer to indoor furniture than typical outdoor pieces.

The collection also uses Batyline mesh slings by Serge Ferrari, sourced and made in Europe, alongside four Italian fabrics developed with Mario Sirtori. The fabric colours are drawn from the tones of Sydney Harbour.
“In Sydney, light dances across the harbour, shifting, shimmering, alive, revealing the quiet beauty of the ocean and the materials that sit beside it. There is a romance to this meeting of sea and surface, where reflections blur the line between water, sky and design.”
Nicholas Condos
