The 20th edition of Australia’s leading interior event is coming back to Melbourne, Australia’s design capital on July 17-19, 2024. For three days visitors of the Australian International Furniture Fair (AIFF) and Decor + Design will get an opportunity to discover design products and to network at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.
As the most notable and influential furniture buying and networking event in Australia, the AIFF is the must-visit destination for retail chains, online retailers, independent retailers, and commercial buyers—allowing them to connect while also discovering the latest furniture trends and innovations.
The AIFF’s theme for this year—Evolution—fits into the other features of the event. Among them are practical design workshops, interactive seminars, and the 2025 Trends Forecast. The special additions of the AIFF are the Green Design Show and the 2024 VIVID Design Awards, Australia’s longest-running competition for emerging designers.
The new-launching Green Design Show is a 2024 special that is all about sustainability. Set apart as the exhibition at the entrance, it will present leading Australian brands that use sustainable products and materials for their environment-friendly furniture. Among the partners of the Green Design Show are the Green Building Council of Australia and Circular Design Thinking, a leading eco-design consultancy. As the official 2024 Sustainability Advisor of the event, Circular Design Thinking provided a set of Sustainability Guidelines, according to which the show’s exhibitors were chosen.
A special area—ATELIER AVENUE—will be dedicated to Australian artists and designers of decorative objects, lighting, furniture, joineries, wall & surface art, soft furnishings, and textiles. It is an opportunity for small and emerging studios to showcase their designs and to be discovered by interior designers and retailers.
Together with the AIFF, Decor + Design is the only 360-degree event for Australasia’s industry. Around 9,000 visitors are expected to attend the event in three days to explore Australia’s various interior brands that were carefully chosen and purposefully curated by industry professionals.
For visitors interested in making connections and building a network there will be a Champagne Lounge area allowing them to connect with leading wholesale and retail exhibitors. There will also be a VIP Media Lunch for journalists and media.
Don’t miss out on the most important interior event of the year and use this chance to discover emerging designers, as well as to learn from the design gurus about indoor and outdoor furniture, soft furnishings, lighting, artwork, textiles, and more.
