The European Product Design Award (EPDA) has announced the winners of its 2025 edition. With submissions representing more than 58 countries and spanning categories from Automotive and Consumer Electronics to Beverage & Food and Eco Design, the international jury of the EPDA has selected projects that reflect the diversity, ambition, and creative energy of today’s design landscape.

The 2025 winners bring together established global brands, emerging studios, and young talents from some of the world’s leading design schools, alongside companies such as Philips, BLOND, DWISS, Mazda, Elica S.p.A., Nuna × BMW, BYD, and Natuzzi S.p.A.

BIOPLATES by Studioneves (Portugal): The first durable tableware made from a proprietary bioplastic that is 100% biodegradable, food-safe and carbon-negative.

Together with numerous other winning entries, these projects address key themes including sustainability, accessibility, and innovation, demonstrating how design can meaningfully improve daily life.

The Experts Behind the Selection

The 2025 winners were selected by a jury panel of more than 30 design leaders, including Alexandre Kasper, Chairtag & Co-Founder at Kasco Arquitetura; Annie Ivanova, Executive Director at Studio Ivanova; Marko Stanojevic, Design Director at ZERO BUREAU, and Maurizio Vrenna, Assistant Professor of Design at Wenzhou-Kean University. Together, they recognized projects that combine creative vision with practical relevance.

Awards Ceremony in Venice

The 2024 and 2025 winners will be officially celebrated in Venice, Italy, during the Awards Ceremony on October 18, 2026, marking the grand finale of Venice Design Week, at Piazza San Marco.

Set in one of the world’s most inspiring cultural capitals, the ceremony will bring together EPDA winners, jury members, partners, and industry leaders for an evening dedicated to contemporary product design. The event will feature the official awards presentation, along with opportunities to connect with fellow professionals and immerse themselves in Venice Design Week.
