The core principles of City Park’s lighting design
The lighting design of the City Park hotel highlights the mixture of architectural and interior décor styles. The fine lighting layout is mixed with warm and cosy colour temperature and rich, delicate structural arrangements to create a night illumination bursting with lively atmosphere and artistic taste. The interior lighting is based on three core principles: comfort, function, and art.
Thoughtful introduction of light emotional layers results in an abundant and rhythmic interior experience. Brighter illumination and visual excitement are used to create a welcoming, inviting ambience in the key spaces, which span from the front hall reception, meeting rooms, and sand table area to children’s and VIP rooms.
Bright and luxurious Shanghai-style interior
The large ceiling light in the meeting area creates a modern grid light and shadow effect. The elegant and luminous contemporary Shanghai-style aesthetic is achieved through accompanying wall sconces and decorative chandeliers. The lighting design in the meeting room serves a dual purpose. On one hand, it create the solem and bright environment perfect for business negotiations, but can also convey a cosy ambience well suited for casual meetings and socialisation.
Low lighting design for exercise and water areas
The calming, serene atmosphere in the yoga room employs reflected and coloured light, contributing to both mental and physical relaxation. This peaceful and relaxing lighting spans to other areas such as the singing room, elevator hall, sunken viewing area, water bar, fitness centre, and terraces. The low-lighting design in these areas responds to guests’ emotional needs for relaxation and intimate communication.
Rich light and shadow layers mirror each other, while the lighting design in the interior follows the natural transition of emotions between different City Park areas. The hotel’s staircase features a uniquely designed art chandelier. The focal point of the room, the chandelier is further enhanced through local key lighting, which reinforces its beauty and artistic presence.
City Park lighting design merges local Shanghai-style with the requirements of a stylish hotel. Numerous layers of light and shadow add unmissable artistic charm to the volume.
