Meet Maya, the visionary founder of Mayaprodesign creative studio. Maya’s journey into the design world began at a young age when she first picked up the violin and explored the arts. Her passion for creativity and a deep love for innovation led her to pursue a Master’s degree in Industrial Design, which she completed with distinction. Maya’s unique perspective has earned her numerous international awards and worldwide recognition at prestigious design events.

Her work spans conceptual designs, branding, and packaging. She blends creativity with practicality to help clients in various industries—from food and beverage to technology—connect meaningfully with their audience.

Today, we are excited to introduce you to the AQ Series by Maya Prokhorova.

“I came to the design profession after a background in music education. I spent 10 years professionally playing the violin, and this has undoubtedly influenced my design work.

The AQ Series – Audio Equipment consists of concepts for musical and computer equipment, as well as audio monitors, developed with the help of AI technologies. For me, the form of an object related to music is something beyond the functional principles of industrial design. It’s about emotions and the attempt to reflect the intangible in a tangible object.

Sound itself is a substance that cannot be seen, but it can be felt. When I create musical gadgets, it’s important for me to convey that feeling. The AQ Series is an attempt to merge technology and art in one piece. I am inspired by the forms of musical instruments, their smooth lines that seem to flow through space, creating harmony. AI technologies help me analyze and predict how sound interacts with space, and based on that data, I can shape designs that not only sound great but also look like music. Each object in this series is not just a device, but a representation of the music that will flow through it.

When working on this series, I think the same way I did when playing the violin: it’s important to convey not only technical mastery but also the soul of the piece. Each form, each line of my design is an opportunity to see and feel the invisible. It is the process of transforming emotions into objects – the core of what I aim to express through my work.”
