Amsterdam Fashion Week has unveiled its schedule for the 2024 edition, running from September 2 to 6. This year’s event will feature a diverse roster of 34 designers, presenting a mix of fresh talent and returning names. With a unified schedule of runway shows and presentations, the five-day fashion week aims to deliver a dynamic showcase of creativity and style.
Amsterdam Fashion Week will kick off on Monday, September 2, with an exclusive opening dinner, featuring designers, partners, and press, powered by Hyundai. As the official car partner for this edition, Hyundai enhances the experience with innovative and electric transportation.

On Tuesday, September 3, the Amsterdam Museum will host the launch of its mini-exhibition ‘Unboxing: Fashion from the Archives’ with a talk featuring Tess van Zalinge, Aynouk Tan, Mariette Hoitink, and Roberto Luis Martins. The discussion will explore the significance of their fashion collection’s curation. Following this, MARTAN will present its fully upcycled SS/25 collection outside Conscious Hotel Westerpark, with Hyundai’s support, highlighting a collection inspired by international waters.
Ethical couture designer Ronald van der Kemp, in collaboration with LINDA.foundation, Gemeente Amsterdam, BIZ Kalverstraat, Heiligeweg, Koningsplein, and Leidsestraat, will curate the ‘RVDK Fashion Spectacle.’ This show emphasizes the reuse of clothing donated by brands like H&M, Mart Visser, and Tommy Hilfiger, featuring a parade of models, creatives, and musicians through Kalverstraat.
The Collectives and DENHAM the Jeanmaker will present a special show at Pre-Reserved studio C, showcasing unique denim and vintage designer looks. This collaboration will offer a fresh perspective on jeanmaking and immediate purchase opportunities.
On Tuesday evening, 1/OFF, supported by Nespresso, will unveil its SS/25 upcycled collection ‘Eternal’ at Door Open Space, reflecting a vision of clothing as part of an endless cycle of inspiration.
Wednesday, September 4, will see Studio Hagel, renowned for experimental footwear design, open its doors to the press, offering insights into its innovative design processes. Later, Tess van Zalinge will present her collection ‘momentum’ at studio3000, blending fashion with performance art. Wild Animals by Rop van Mierlo will open its new studio in Amsterdam Noord, showcasing past collaborations. The day concludes with Wandler’s Fall’24 collection at the Amsterdam hotspot BISOUS.
On Thursday, September 5, Salon Heleen Hülsmann and DYO Studio will present ‘Glam at AM’ at Annet Gelink Gallery, blending pre-loved and new looks. Filmmaker Herrana Addisu will showcase ‘The River’ at TEN Women in Theater Tuschinski, highlighting Ethiopian culture and women’s experiences.
Hotel De L’Europe will host Atelier Reservé and Fresh ‘n Rebel’s collaboration, exploring color impact through circularity. POM Amsterdam, in collaboration with Claes Iversen, will present a colorful ready-to-wear collection. SolidNature and Sabine Marcelis will unveil an art installation in Vondelpark, and Vogue will celebrate the new fashion season with street events and a Fashion Parade Show.
The evening will feature Max Zara Sterck’s show at AFW, The Patchwork Family’s performance at nightclub Shelter, and the launch of a limited ELLE issue at FOUR Amsterdam, followed by drinks at Jimmy Woo in collaboration with Botter.
Friday, September 6, will see the official launch of P.A.P Collective’s ‘Future Vintage’ capsule collection at WestCord Fashion Hotel, showcasing sustainable and timeless fashion. Yousra Razine Mahrah, winner of Lichting 2023, will present ‘Kabouda.’ The Lichting show, supported by Meester Koetsier Foundation, will feature top fashion academy graduates. In the evening, Denzel Veerkamp will showcase ‘Abrasei’ at Studio Wieman, celebrating Afro-Surinamese and Creole heritage, and JOHNNY BLOOD will present ‘Ephemeral’ in a former nightclub. The week concludes with an official afterparty hosted by GREY GOOSE® Vodka.
The HUB by AFW
The HUB will return to Fosbury & Sons on September 5 and 6, transforming it into a cutting-edge concept store focused on sustainability and circular design, in collaboration with Nespresso. The HUB will showcase 50 standout brands, offering a chance to win The Talent Support Prize, worth €25,000. Features include a customisation station with SF/Collective, LINDA.’s portfolio Go and See, and haircare touch-ups by Keune Haircosmetics. The HUB will also host Drinks & Beats, with Fresh ’n Rebel and Atelier Reservé on day one, and Nespresso’s Nesmas & Beats on day two.
Talks at The HUB
Several talks will be held, starting with ‘The Artistry Behind Brand Building,’ moderated by Sanne Bolten and featuring Curtis Penning (Avant Arte), David Mahyari (SolidNature), and Abderrahmane Trabsini (Daily Paper). Following this, Renée van Wijngaarden (1/0FF) and Kika Buhrmann (Nespresso Netherlands) will discuss ‘The Art of Upcycling.’ The final talk will focus on ‘How to Build a Durable Brand,’ moderated by Ashlee Janelle with Allyson Shiffman (VOGUE Scandinavia), Remco van der Velden (Wild Animals), and Ida Petersson (GoodEggAgency and form. Browns Fashion).
