Crazy Energy, made by adidas Basketball, delivers comfort and multidimensional traction for dynamic and confident movement on the court. Aimed at a new generation of hoopers, the versatile shoe delivers outstanding performance following the needs of modern basketball games.
Built with adidas’ signature responsive Lightstrike superfoam EVA rims, the shoe enables peak versatility and cushioning. The lightweight design is combined with outstanding traction and comfort, boosting the athlete’s game on court. The designers from adidas were particularly focused on maximising energy return, allowing athletes to add dynamism to their game.
adidas technology for a better hooping experience
But full-length Lightstrike cushioning technology is not the only technology used in the new adidas Basketball shoe. A multidirectional rubber herringbone outsole brings adidas’ trademark Herringbone Traction to the wearer. Optimal grip is ensured regardless of the surface, changes of direction or a game plan. Boost Insole cushioning technology ensures an elite step-in comfort from the moment you put the shoe on till the moment you take it off.
The Crazy Series Franchise
The Crazy Energy is just the first shoe from the Crazy Series Franchise, expected to unfold in the future. The silhouette will soon make its debut on the WNBA courts, where it will be worn by adidas partners, including Sophie Cunningham, Kelsey Plum, Taylen Kinney, Erika Wheeler, Satou Sabally, and Olivia Miles. Oklahoma City Thunder forward and shooting guard Jalen Williams will wear the Crazy Energy shoes throughout the upcoming NBA season. The company announced that a promotional film for the new model will feature an array of U.S. basketball stars as well.
Crazy Energy by adidas Basketball continues and reinforces the historic ties between the brand and the beloved sport. Launched on July 17, 2026, the silhouette is available on adidas.com and at selected retailers around the globe. The shoe comes in two colourways, Colour Shift and Ice White, both priced at $110.
