Modular Signature Sofa by the Thuma Design Team brings outstanding structure and adaptability to the world of sofa design. A fully upholstered furniture piece has redefined lounge seating through a mixture of support, softness and flexibility. At the SIT Furniture Design Awards, the Signature Sofa by Thuma Design Team earned the first prize in the Couch & Sofa Category.
Sculptural presence and tool-free assembly
The sculptural presence of the Signature Sofa is achieved through a low enveloping profile accompanied by refined proportions. A modular framework at its core is engineered for both durability and maximum strength. Designed with consumers in mind, the Signature Sofa comes with a highly innovative system of locking components that allows the user to assemble it themselves without special tools. Despite its tool-free assembly, the sofa maintains outstanding stability across configurations.
Equipped with numerous interchangeable elements such as modular seats, corner units, storage ottomans and a chaise extension, the Signature Sofa supports easy reconfigurations. Starting from a compact two-seater, the sofa can expand to a large seating arrangement with almost limitless possibilities for adaptation over time.
Cushions that ensure comfort
Feather-filled cushions provide lounge-like plush comfort that lasts. Engineered through layered construction, the CertiPUR-US® foam, steel pocket springs and polyfiber ensure recovery and lasting shape. Ergonomically designed lumbar cushions balance support with a relaxed feel, while additional comfort is achieved through tapered arms and backrest.
The sofa is fully covered with OEKO-TEX® certified performance fabrics selected for their texture and durability. Four washable slipcovers protect and change the appearance of the sofa. Ivory is 97% polyester and 3% linen, while Natural, Mocha, and Carbon are made from 84% polyester and 16% acrylic performance textured weave. Designed for effortless attachment and removal using self-adhesive strips, all options deliver lasting comfort, durability, and stain resistance.
Two-, three-, or four-seat configuration
Speaking of modularity options, the sofa’s smallest configuration is a two-seat one. Composed of Left Arm and Right Arm Modules, the two-seat configuration measures 86″ W × 43″ D × 32.25″ H with a 70″ W x 24″ D inside seating dimensions. The three-seater comes in 121″ W x 43″ D x 32.25″ H dimensions with inside seating dimensions of 105″ W x 24″ D.
Apart from the Left Arm/Right Arm Module, the three-seater Signature Sofa comes with one Armless Module as well, all locked into a certified clip connection system. With overall dimensions of 156″ W x 43″ D x 32.25″ H, and inside seating dimensions of 140″ W x 24″ D, the four-seat sofa features two Left Arm/Right Arm and two Armless Modules. Additional accessories include a Signature Storage Ottoman and throw pillows in the same colour variants as the sofa slipcovers, as well as the Leather Sofa Sleeve in cappuccino shade.
