Aphaia, designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune studio for Kreoo, presents the finest collection of marble furniture, including a dining table, a bar table, and three coffee tables in various sizes. The inspiration comes from two distinct yet complementary sources: on one side, the classical architecture and its Greek and Roman columns, and on the other, natural beauty and organic forms.
Inspired by Greek and Roman columns
The influence of ancient architecture is noticeable at first glance, as tablets boast the recognisable column form. An outstanding relief pattern is carved by hand, while the crafted outline results in subtle undulations. The pattern is hand-sculpted from a single block of marble, highlighting the intricate stone veins and chromatic layers, which get their full glow under the interplay of light and shadow. The ribs (continuous and identical to one another) soften the design. They radiate from the base all the way to the top, where they shape a new 3D ornament – a border marked by broader ripples.
Aphaia S, M, and L Coffee tables
Aphaia coffee tables come in three sizes, aptly titled Aphaia S, Aphaia M, and Aphaia L. The coffee tables are designed to fit into any seating arrangement, either individually or as a group. The user can mix and match different sizes and marble patterns to create a unique, almost sculptural composition. The smallest of the group features a 30 cm height with a diameter of 66cm, the middle-sized table comes in a greater height of 38,5 cm but a smaller diameter of 55 cm. Following the trend, Aphaia L stands tall at 51 cm, with the smallest circle top at 47cm.
Aphaia dining table
The dining table is designed to grace interiors or exteriors of retail or hospitality venues, living rooms, or lobbies. The Aphaia dining table rises to 73 cm, featuring a diameter of 92 cm, and can accommodate from 2 to 4 users. All tables come in five marble types, each featuring a distinct pattern. From warm shades of Rosso San Marco and Travertino Rosso, to light hues of Bianco Carrara and Ceppo di Sicilia, and the colourful pattern of Breccia di Vendome, every marble type carries a distinct pattern, allowing for easy adaptation to other interior design elements.
Aphaia bar table
Designs that accommodate luxury objects, vases, and sculptures, a tall Aphaia bar table mimics the appearance of classical marble columns to the fullest. Made in dimensions of 56 × 56 × 130 cm, the tables are available in the same five finishes, with Bianco Carrara marble evoking the timeless presence of an ancient column with great accuracy. Perfect for luxurious residential and contract projects where the synthesis of classical and contemporary aesthetics is even more evident.
