The 11th Africa Sourcing and Fashion Week (ASFW) brought together leaders and innovators from across the textile, apparel, leather, and technology industries in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from October 30 to November 2, 2025. Taking place at the Addis International Conference Center, the event confirmed its reputation as the largest sourcing and fashion trade show in Africa.
More than 200 manufacturers from over 30 countries presented their latest products and technologies to a global audience of 7,000 trade professionals, wholesalers, retailers, and designers. Participants from over 70 countries attended, underlining the event’s growing international significance.
Over the past decade, ASFW has generated more than 50,000 new jobs for young professionals across Africa, proving the industry’s power to drive economic and social progress.
This year’s edition focused on key industry challenges and opportunities, including circularity, intellectual property rights, and the impact of artificial intelligence on production and design. Discussions also explored the role of African governments in shaping a more resilient and innovative manufacturing ecosystem.
The Walk for Business initiative once again created a direct link between over 30 leading African fashion designers and international buyers, encouraging collaborations that strengthen Africa’s presence on the global fashion map.
As the continent’s only trade fair dedicated to technology, ASFW provided a vital platform for machinery suppliers in textile production, dyeing, finishing, and chemical processes. The 2025 edition featured participation from nearly all garment-producing African countries, showcasing a wide spectrum of textiles, apparel, leather goods, home décor, and design innovations.
