On this Global Recycling Day, it’s fitting to spotlight a project that embodies innovation and sustainability. Poste O, the award-winning outdoor lighting solution by LDE LightDesign Exporlux, recently won recognition at the LIT Lighting Design Awards in the Outdoor Spotlights category. Designed withversatility and environmental responsibility in mind, Poste O redefines the concept of outdoor illumination.

A Flexible and Modular Approach to Outdoor Lighting
Located in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil, Poste O stands out for its adaptability and design-forward approach. Completed in July 2024, the project offers a range of modular options, allowing for complete customization of light and shadow compositions. The system can be equipped with two distinct spotlight and highlight modules, as well as a diffuse module, giving designers the freedom to create dynamic and layered lighting effects.
Height adjustment capabilities and various color temperatures, including standout options at 2200K and 1800K (with CRI>90 and R9>50), ensure harmony with different natural ecosystems. This thoughtful design not only enhances the aesthetics of outdoor spaces but also respects the natural balance of the environment.

The structure is crafted from aluminum, known for its infinite recyclability. This ensures that the material can be continuously reintroduced into the production cycle without waste. Additionally, the LED technology used in Poste O is highly efficient and long-lasting, reducing maintenance needs and the frequency of replacements—key factors in minimizing environmental impact.
Founded in 1974, LDE LightDesign Exporlux is renowned for excellence in lighting design and manufacturing. The company handles every process stage—from concept and design to production, installation, and technical support. Since merging with Portuguese LED technology leader Exporlux in 2012, the company has expanded its offerings to deliver more comprehensive and sustainable lighting solutions.

Poste O is proof that outdoor lighting can be flexible, stylish, and sustainable. A reminder that great design doesn’t have to come at the expense of the planet.
