Portuguese design studio NAUU Collectible Art Design has launched its new Pompeii seating collection. As the name suggests, it is inspired by the ancient Roman city that was destroyed nearly two millennia ago by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. The collection includes an armchair, ottoman, and sofa, all of which draw from the city’s historical significance with sculptural design elements.

Each piece features cream-handcrafted upholstery paired with brass accents, including rose gold brass spheres at the base. Brass hand sculptures, which stretch out as if reaching for something, add a striking detail that nods to Roman art. Each design decision was carefully chosen to reference Rome’s culture of the arts, all while keeping a modern, minimalist look suitable for our times.
